Al-Qaeda in Mali
This week the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQMI) seized an important arms and munitions deposit of the Gao army in Mali, Africa.
According to the regional security official, the underground deposit was created to storage weapons and ammunition in the event of a full-scale war. This will now reinforce the terrorist group strength.
In the last couple of weeks the Islamist movement Ansar Dine and its ally AQMI managed to dominate the North of Mali, which now belongs to armed groups that took advantage of the coup-de-etat in Bamako on March 22. (AV)
