The majority of Alianza PAIS (AP) at the International Relations Commission will not hold sessions until its president, Fernando Bustamante, resigns.
Maria Augusta Calle (AP), vice president, said that ruling party members have told Bustamante they would like he does not continue chairing the commission.
Her colleague Linda Machuca (AP), also a member of the Board, said that labor relations are based on trust, and they currently have doubts on the commitment of Bustamante and the deal is that the Commission does not meet until this is resolved.
“… At the moment, to enable the Commission to work, it should have a president who enjoys the confidence of all its members,” she said.
