AmBev Ecuador Will Manufacture Budweiser
Ambev Ecuador performs updates to their facility in Guayaquil to produce the Budweiser beer for the national market. The multinational company that earns over $16 million in Ecuador with Brahma and Zenda will add Budweiser to its product list.
In 2008, InBev the owner of AmBev bought the actions of Anheuser-Busch, the manufacturer of Budweiser, a brand that originated in the United States. The American beer was sold through the company Proalco. For the last 20 months the beer company has been working on the development of this project, which is an important investment, and the upgrade of the factory in Guayaquil so that it can be able to produce the beer.
The last year AmBev spent over $1,5 million to renew the process of beer elaboration for the production of Brahma. Currently the market has registered a beer consume of 36,6 liters per person in Ecuador. Cerveceria Nacional has the biggest sales with Pilsener and Club. Recently the beer premium Miller Genuine Draft entered the market competition.
