Posted On 25 Nov 2011
Thousands of Americans lined up outside department stores and malls to take advantage of the “Black Friday” offers and do their Christmas shopping in advance.
Many seek low prices on items of technology such as flat screen televisions, digital cameras, laptops, tablets and video games. While others buy toys to put under their Christmas tree for their children.
Some stores began offering deals since Thursday, on thanksgiving, to achieve sales, which are expected to be a moderate end of the year shopping season.
The black Friday gives opens the Christmas shopping season, retailers like Amazon.com and Wal-Mart are also bidding for the internet because Thanksgiving has become one of the most frequent days of the year to shop online.
