Amy Winehouse’s Father Asks Parliament to Support Young Addicts
Posted On 01 Aug 2011
Mitch Winehouse, father of the late singer, Amy Winehouse, asked the British Parliament a harder work for young people who are suffering drugs and alcohol addictions.
After the close of the only rehabilitation center National Health Service (NHS), Middlegate, on England and Wales, hundreds of young addicts must wait almost two years to get treatment or face expensive bills in private clinics.
Several reports said that Winehouse, who testified about the abuse issue before the committee Vaz in 2009, is planning to obtain support to use his daughter’s name in a rehabilitation unit. (BG)
