Andres Paez talks about Rocafuerte Insurance guarantees

Yesterday Assemblyman Andres Paez gave copies of certificates of the deposits delivered, apparently by Rocafuerte Insurance to secure the loan of $ 800,000 granted by the Bank COFIEC to Argentine businessman Gaston Duzac.
Daily El Comercio revealed this information in late 2012. COFIEC, a state-owned bank, operates through the Management Unit of Public Law (Ugedep), whose main representative was Pedro Delgado, former head of the Central Bank of Ecuador.
On last October, the former president of Rocafuerte Insurance, Pedro Zapac, said at the time he gave no guarantee, however the documents showed otherwise.
Meanwhile, Assemblyman Andres Paez said the insurer said, through his Twitter account that the company did not issue such guarantees. Assemblyman added that “then were replaced by guarantees issued by Agricultural Las Mercedes“.
The documents said Assemblyman, are part of the record of inquiry opened in the Attorney-General, said, “advancing slowly suspicious.“
