Another Airplane Crashes in Venezuela in Less Than 48 Hours
At 6:30 AM (local time) on Tuesday, a helicopter from the Venezuelan Army AV-0308 model 212 crashed to the bow of an oceanographic vessel from the Army as well, and fell nearby a port from Isla Margarita, a rescuer informed today.
Five people are hurt including the pilot of the helicopter and four people from the crew. The accident was confirmed by the Interior Minister, Tareck El Aissami. The Minister added the co-pilot and Chief Engineer haven’t been rescued yet.
The vessel was developing combat maneuvers on the port at Playa Valdéz, informed Rafael Lugo, Commander of a Civil Organization of Marine Support and Rescuing, while the helicopter was working on bringing help to the Security Members who are in charge of the Rescue Labors of the shipwreck of the small ship “Mi Negocio”, where 22 people were rescued after being in 2 small boats for three days, with the small ship still missing offshore.
The accident happens just few hours later since the crashing of a commercial flight that was flying over the same area yesterday morning, where 15 people (the captain and two crew members among them) died and 36 survived.
