Arizona Gov vetoes controversial anti-gay bill

The Governor of the State of Arizona, Jan Brewer, has vetoed this Wednesday the law that benefits employers from their religious beliefs to deny services to homosexuals.

The measure, that  came to her office on Monday, opened a controversial debate in the American society, between those who argued that the law defended religious freedom and those who alleged that the regulation was a step backwards to achieve equality in the United States.
It even came in a moment in which the majority of us citizenship supports same-sex marriage. Exactly, 52%, according to the latest survey by Gallup.
U.S. companies such as Apple, American Airlines and the Marriott hotel chain,  also called on the Governor of Arizona to veto the law because they considered it brought negative consequences for the economy of the State.
