Aspiring doctors took the CEAACES test

3,629 aspiring doctors took the test of empowerment of the CEAACES in 8 centres in the country. Each had 4 hours to answer the questionnaire of 130 multiple choice questions covering topics from internal medicine, surgery, Pediatrics, gynaecology, bioethics, and mental health.

Foreign doctors practising in the country were also evaluated. 26 registered and most of them belong to  3 nationalities: 6 Haitians, 5 venezolanos and 4 Cubans.
Foreign doctors who work in Ecuador shall be accredited according to the CEAACES, to practice their profession.
The minimum to pass is 60/100. If they fail to score, they have 3 more opportunities to be able to register. Of the people registered, 27 total not attended, between professionals and students who made the rotating internship, 1023 were those who passed the first test in November.
