Posted On 30 Oct 2012
After formalizing his candidacy as binomial of Guillermo Lasso for the movement Creando Oportunidades (CREO), Auki Tituana ensures that the bases of the indigenous movement are with him.
In an interview with Diario La Hora, Tituaña speaks of his reaction amid the controversy and his expulsion from the Conaie and Pachakutik, which was decided by the leadership.
“I was sincere in Pachakutik. I made this call repeatedly, that we have to think in a broad, pluralistic, democratic and progressive alliance, “said Tituaña.”I believe that, after giving all the effort and dedication, I deserved better treatment,” he added.
Tituaña claims to have not betrayed his people, and argues that that we Ecuadorians need a broader view. (MZ)
