Authorities seize 877kg of cocaine destined to Belgium

The National Police of Ecuador has reported that a total of 877kg of cocaine were seized that were destined to Belgium.
At a press conference, General Carlos Alulema, National Director of Counternarcotics, announced that the operation, Banana Trade II, which took place in the Simón Bolívar Seaport, “seized 877kg of cocaine that was to be transported to Belgium.” The authorities found the content wrapped in 746 packages with AA, 8 and Toyota logos, hidden in banana boxes.
According to the report that Alulema gave on the operations of the November holiday in Guayaquil, Pastaza, and Carchi, they allowed the seizure of 1 Ton 183 kg of cocaine and the arrest of 5 people. (I)
