Avril Lavigne Debuts 14-Carat Engagement Ring

Despite trying to keep a low profile relationship, Canadians musicians Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are happily engaged.

The couple met in February of 2012, planning to make some music together for Lavigne’s fifth album. Shortly thereafter, they began dating and six months later they announced their engagement.

Kroeger, 37, lead singer of Nickelback, proposed to Avril, 27, on August 8 with a 14-carat diamond ring.

“They haven’t set a date. They’re really enjoying the moment,” a friend tells the media.
