Banguera apologized to Quinonez for hitting him

Yesterday the goalkeeper of Barcelona, Maximo Banguera, offered apologies to Pedro Quinonez Emelec striker, for hitting him in the face last Sunday, after his team lost to the blues 2-0 in the Classic match.

The attack caused the blue captain to be admitted to a hospital.

Banguera apologized to Quinonez, his family and the fans for what happened and said there’s “no justification” in a press conference he gave yesterday at the Monumental. “To err is human and I accept that I was wrong. There was an exchange of words, but that must remain in the field. That does not justify that what I have done so. I do not like losing, but yesterday (Sunday) I was a sore loser. I’ll personally apologize to Pedro,” he added.

Banguera accepted the possibility of being punished today in the Ecuafutbol, as requested electric leadership.
