Barcelona becomes the big winner of the day by beating Emelec 2-0

By beating its traditional rival, Emelec, in the biggest game of the Ecuadorian national soccer championship, with two goals from Argentine striker Ariel Nahuelpan, the idol  carried out its most outstanding performance in the 17th date of the national tournament.

Barcelona achieved a total of 25 points, 10 points away from the opponent he beat, and is still far from reaching the top to be first, but managed a victory that encouraged the team and filled its fans with hope, who wants their team to achieve the 15th star this year (Barcelona has won 14 national championships).

The yellow team was superior in order to win the traditional classic before about 45,000 attendees at the Monumental stadium. Its triumph was the most influential of the date, as Deportivo Quito, second in the standings with 32 points, and Liga de Quito, third, with 29, only reached ties and wasted the opportunity to approach Emelec, who despite losing, is three points ahead of the second one and still has to play two more matches.

The championship enters the final leg of the first stage and this Wednesday, the 18th date in wich Cuenca receives Manta; Macara receives Independiente; Catolica receives Liga de Loja. And, among the most expected matches, Barcelona receives Deportivo Quito, El Nacional receives Emelec, and Liga de Quito receives Quevedo.
