Barcelona players accused of rape

Attorney Jaime Toral Zalamea filed to the prosecution a criminal complaint against Giovanny Nazareno and Juan Carlos “La Hormiga” Paredes, for allegedly raping María Eugenia Pinto, and Linda Seilema, who pointed out that they were sexually assaulted by both and other players from Barcelona, on Sunday night after the match in which the team beat Liga de Quito.

The girls, both aged 21, indicated that the offense was committed in a house, in which they gave them alcoholic drinks and a Caipirinha cocktail, which contained a chemical substance that made them lose consciousness. Also asserted that they were threatened to not denounce the fact, for what the respective investigations of the case will start.

The victims were subjected to tests by examiners of the Judicial Police of Guayas, who could observe that both were treated with violence. The Sport Club authorities announced that they will make an official statement, without specifying when.
