Board for El Universo Case is Ready

Hector Cabezas is the new judge of the Second Criminal Chamber of Guayas

The Second Criminal Chamber of Guayas in charge of handling El Universo case is ready. Starting today temporal judge Hector Cabezas replaced Juan Carrion. The members of the board are judge Primo Diaz Garaycoa, along with temporal judges Eduardo Guerrero Mortola and Hector Cabezas Palacios.

Yesterday morning the media tried to talk with the judges in Provincial Court of Justice, Cabezas informed that at the moment there are no comments. However he did explain that according to the judicial norms, judges have 10 days to start the process and set a date for the audience.

Cabezas denied feeling pressured even if the defended is the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa. Until yesterday morning the 42 sheets of the trial did no arrived to the Secretariat Chamber. (AV)
