One of the young winners of the One Young World contest, in Manchester, in 2022.
The Jóvenes Unidos en Acción National Award is an initiative of the British organization “One Young World” (OYW), which brings together leaders and professionals who direct projects or inventions in favor of the environment, such as caring for the oceans and the Amazon.
There are also categories for initiatives on mental health or migration.
Applications are open until July 20, and 24 young leaders between the ages of 18 and 35 will be chosen.
The winners will have the opportunity to participate in the Belfast summit, in the United Kingdom, between October 2 and 5.
During this world summit, organized by One Young World, professionals will be able to share their experiences in the field they lead and seek support for their projects.
“It is an opportunity for young people around the world, responsible for shaping the future, to be heard,” says the organization’s Director of Development, David Gereda.
After the summit is over, delegates graduate as One Young
World ambassadors and return to their workplaces and communities with sufficient means to carry out their projects.
The prize includes the expenses of flights, lodging and food during the days of the summit and the necessary expenses to obtain the visa.
Interested young people can apply for their candidacy at the official link of the contest.
