Bucaram Talked Today About the Ecuadorian Plebiscite

Bucaram Pulley, Ecuadorian Assemblyman from the Roldosista Party (PRE), said this morning at Radio City that despite the Yes, proposed by President Rafael Correa, won in most of the questions of the referendum, the plebiscite was a complete failure for the government, for the intentions he had suggested at the beginning.

Assemblyman says no one has argued that the president or the Yes option have won in a so tight way in the 8 of the ten questions, but in those relating to the change of judicial control and control of the media, it is clear that the people were very afraid of the measures that can be implemented and this is reflected in the minimum victory of the No over the Yes.

The failure of government relies that  2 years ago the Constitution was approved with nearly 80% of the valid votes, and that percentage dropped almost 52% in this referendum; then, that is an indication that something is happening there .

Bucaram said his party did not participate in political campaign because, he said the changes enacted by Correa are not what people want, although he favors for a change in justice and in control of the media, but not in that way.
