Business Roundtable welcomes 193 international buyers

Ecuadornews:

Vice President María Alejandra Vicuña opened the commercial forum in Guayaquil, in which 600 Ecuadorian exporters participate. The Minister of Foreign Trade confirmed the signing of agreements for $ 6,000 million. Nearly $ 300 million is the expectation of sales that is expected to reach the macro business round that takes place in Guayaquil, attended by 193 buyers from 27 countries.

The vice president of the Republic, María Alejandra Vicuña, attended the inauguration of the event; Chancellor José Valencia and Minister of Foreign Trade, Pablo Campana. In total, 650 local companies from 18 sectors of the country offer their products, especially in the areas of food and manufactures.

This is the seventh edition organized by ProEcuador, the Institute for the Promotion of Exports and Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. The second President said that these meetings will allow the realization of commercial relations between businessmen and buyers through more than 5,000 business appointments, in which the $ 300 million will be exceeded.

For Chancellor Valencia, the macro-round is part of the impulse to open markets, which will be one of the axes of its management. “Commercial, investment and tourism promotion is a high priority; President Lenin Moreno instructed me to strengthen missions abroad for the promotion of economic activity. ” Another of its management axes, he said, will be the search for new trade agreements, not only with the United States. “We are interested in seeking an agreement, but also expand horizons with other countries.” Minister Pablo Campana argued instead that Ecuador redoubles efforts to increase and diversify exports. “We are opening more markets to place more Ecuadorian products in the world,” he said, while highlighting the work of the public sector to attract investment and promote public policies that offer legal stability, predictability, and tax incentives

Investment incentives

The Vice President joined Campana’s criteria. “The new investments will have tax exemptions of twelve years if they occur in different cities of Quito and Guayaquil.” During the macro-round, the electronic commercial platform e-Ecuador was presented; The tool will help local producers and exporters to advertise their products and market them online.

“Not only will it provide opportunities to our producers and exporters, but also to our migrants, who are fundamental in the dynamism of the economy,” said the Minister of Foreign Trade. Finally, he announced that on Friday, June 15, new agreements for $ 6,000 million in investment agreements will be signed in Guayaquil. (I)
