Cañar celebrates its Declaration holiday
The province of Cañar is celebrating its 13th year of a Special Declaration. The slogan that this year commemorates the Declaration, everyJanuary 26th, is “Remarkable Cañar,” which reaffirmed The province as the “Archaeological Capital of Ecuador.”
Over time Cañar has become the most important pre-Hispanic archaeological monument of the country, with invaluable cultural remains as testimony of ancient Andean civilizations like the Canari and Inca.
Today will be organized a cleaning day and flags will rise citywide. The Permanent Committee of Celebration held from this morning celebration events. Tomorrow will be held a parade with the presence of educational institutions, neighborhood organizations, among others. This January 26th will be carried out the “Parade of Cultures,” and in the afternoon, the Solemn Session which will seal the declaration. The day concludes with the “Night of Lights” and folk dancing in the Ingapirca Avenue.
