Carlos Marxs Carrasco asks syndicalist groups to dialogue

Posted On 04 Jun 2014

CARLOS-MARX-CARRASCO2mavYesterday, in a Gamatv interview, Minister of Labour Relations Carlos Marx Carrasco  invited trade unions to dialogue, who announced to perform mobilizations on  17 July due to the new Labour Code.

“I invite you to talk. If they are going to perform a mobilization, they have full right to do so. But I find that knowing we are incorporating good part of the aspirations of workers and employers, I don´t find meaning to perform a mobilization, I rather invite you to continue talking,” said the Minister.

Carrasco referred the disagreement of trade unions with the monthly allocation of the tenth wages. He also explained about the rejection for unions by branches: “What it does is to ensure that everyone can be unionized. The rule is up to 25 workers …. Now,when speaking about unions by branch, this would a total of 90 workers who could constitute a union,” he said.
