The Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez, revealed that the investigations confirmed that the tumour removed in La Habana, on the last February 26, was a recurrence of his cancer.

Chavez pointed out that the result of the reports did not surprised him, although he did informed that the reports showed “an absence of injuries that suggest cancer, or near organs… or metastasis.”

The Venezuelan leader said that once he overcomes the process of recuperation and cicatrisation of several weeks he will submit to a radiotherapy treatment of one hour a day. (AV)
