Chile Plane Crash: Remains and Clues Search Continue
Posted On 05 Sep 2011
600 people are part of the tracking team that is working to find the bodies of 17 victims of the plane crash in the Archipelago of Juan Fernandez and the wreckage of the Air Force CASA 212.
Tactical and rescue divers groups will be deployed to begin a review of a seabed portion in search of more background that can explain the accident reasons.
It is expected that the Santiago Medical Legal Service will deliver the results of the report made by technical experts on the human remains found yesterday to determine their identities.
Andres Allamand, Minister of Defense, said yesterday that the bodies may not be found, because the most likely hypothesis is that the plane disintegrated tas it fell into the sea.
