Clashes Between Correa and Lara Continued on Tweeter
Clashes between Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa and Sociedad Patriotica Party (SP) Assemblyman, Galo Lara continues through social networks.
President Correa affirms the comments that Lara questioned via his official Twitter account, who bears an order for criminal prosecution for alleged libel towards the President.
Correa wrote via @Presidencia_Ec: “Would you lift the immunity of Galo Lara for clarification on the slander charges of corruption.” “Spoiled Boys throw stones to the tree that bears fruit”, said Correa in reference to false accusations made by the assemblyman.
These comments make Lara response with some tweets: “For my allegations of corruption in the government of Correa intended to take my immunity.” “Pedro Navaja, corner thug, the one who kills with a stick dies by the stick, a song that I dedicate to the tyrant.” “Oil is withdrawn and sent to companies like Glencore.”
Fernando Cordero, President of the National Assembly discussed the withdrawal of immunity from Lara on Wednesday 7 December. The Main Assembly has until December 11 to decide, but Lara will be automatically unprotected.
