CNE does not clarify absenteeism figures
Three days after the general elections, the National Electoral Council (CNE) does not clarify the figures of absenteeism on the voting day. Until Monday, February 18, appeared on the CNE’s website, the number of citizens who did not vote, which stood at 4 million voters.
But yesterday the legend of this figure was changed to “ballots in process”. At the moment of analyzing the data provided on the website, it is set that there were 11,675,441 registered voters and that the total number of signatures and fingerprints contained in the census is 7,910,973.
This means that there is a difference of 3,764,468. This figure is catalogued by the CNE as ballots to be processed, but for political leaders, the whole thing is a hoax because in reality that figure was established by the people who did not vote.
So far, the members of the CNE have not clarified these numbers. However, a technician explained that the figure of absenteeism will be revealed once 100% of ballots get processed.
