CNE enables web with resumes of the candidates for the Participation Council
Ecuadornews:

The electoral campaign is lived differently and for many voters goes unnoticed and even do not know that this March 24 will receive apart from the ballots to elect the sectional authorities, another three to vote for the seven members of the new Council of Citizen Participation, that by its attributions it is known as the Fifth Power. Cedatos indicates that 92% of the voters do not know who these applicants are.
Unlike the campaign in the streets, neighborhoods, media and social networks of candidates for mayors or prefects, there are 43 applicants to the Participation Council who cannot proselytize on their own. That is why they take advantage of the events organized in organizations and the interviews in the media. And that is replicated in their network accounts like Twitter, there are even spots that are advertised on Facebook.
The National Electoral Council (CNE) is the only entity authorized to inform the proposals and trajectory of these 43 candidates. The reform of the Law of the Council of Participation established that “no party or political movement, social organization, official, candidate or citizen may perform acts of political proselytism for or against any candidate” to counsel. They also cannot receive private financing of any kind.
These days the CNE enabled the web candidates2019.cne.gob.ec with information of those who apply for all the dignities, not yet all, but the 43 candidates to the Participation Council with their resumes. Besides, they will have 140 spots on television and 1,468 radio spots. (I)
