Colombia faces two-days of agricultural strike

Colombian demonstrators
Yesterday marked two days of a measure that has paralyzed Colombia. During the demonstrations 48 protesters have been arrested, to this we add the road blockades and sporadic clashes between protesters and riot forces officers in several locations in the nation.
This strike is one of the largest agricultural events faced by the government of Juan Manuel Santos.
Detainees and damaged roads hampered goods and faced the riot police when they tried to clear roads and roads blocked.
The strike brings together the producers of coffee, potatoes, onions, rice and other products. It also has the support of freight truckers, health workers and leftist social movements.
The measure affects trade between Colombia and Ecuador, especially the transport of the two countries made mainly by road. Ecuadorians truckers and traders are stranded in Tulcan since the strike began in the north country
