Concertacion Political Party Might not Have Presidential Candidate

Cesar Montufar
Cesar Montufar, the presidential candidate for the political party Concertacion does not has a firm political base. After the comprehensive review of the signatures presented for the party. The National Electoral Council (CNE) determined that there are 17,513 pending signatures to ratify its legal status. The signatures could be delivered until September 24 midnight.
According to Cesar Montufar and Juan Carlos Solines, there is the possibility that the movement is not approved, this certifies the control that the government has over CNE, since it adjusts the political groups that work for their convenience.
Leaders of Concertacion reported irregularities with in the Exposition Center of Quito, where the signatures are being reviewed. The first was that they did not have access to the digital fingerprint of the computer system, this would have let them verify that it was the same ‘software’ used in the review was the same that was used with the already approved movements. Another drawback was that the CNE databases have not been fully debugged and hence it shows a lot of inconsistencies in the signature scanning. AV
