During an interview Guayaquil´s mayor, Jaime Nebot, said that the Governement has retained improperly money that´s property of the citizens, not property of the Government. This is part of a new decoy for the delay in giving the assignements from the central Government.
Nebot responds to the president Rafael Correa, who last saturday said, using a video as a support, that there are only two months of delay and not six, like in the past.
“We have delayed for two months the assignments to the local governments and now they can´t pay their employees, and are bankrupt, but if the ones that didn´t save were us, dont you think this is a contradiction? First, it is now evidenced that every single one of them depends on the Government and, second, that they are the ones that didn´t save, and now they don´t have liquidity”, said Correa.
Yesterday Nebot said that in february 20 we can talk about “three months of improper retention for the cities, parishes and provinces that are affected with three months, december, january and february”…
