Copa America: Argentina and Bolivia Match Ended Up in a Tie

Posted On 02 Jul 2011

The Copa America officially began yesterday with a match from the group A, between Argentina and Bolivia. The match ended in a draw, 1-1, and many Argentina fans ended up disappointed.

The beginning of the match was dominated by the Argentineans, who had mastered the ball during the first half with short passes. Both teams went into the break with no scores.

Just two minutes into the second half and Bolivia struck with a cue of Rojas after a corner kick that took Éver Banega to mark 1-0.

Argentina responded with a long game change of Angel di Maria, who entered to replace Cambiasso, Zanetti dropped the ball on his chest and Aguero beated goalkeeper Carlos Arias and thus tied the game. (MS)
