Copa America: Ecuador and Paraguay End Up in 0-0
The match between Ecuador and Paraguay ended in a draw. At the start of the Group B match, the Guarani team had the ball domain during the first half of the match, which is why the tricolor goalkeeper, Marcelo Elizaga, was frequently cheered by the fans since he avoided several attacks from the Paraguayan team.
The time of greatest tension in the first half was when the tricolor team broke in the penalty area and Christian Benitez faced Justo Villar Pastor, who guarded the arc of the rival team. Both teams went into the break goalless
There was a good balance between defense and attack by the Ecuadorian, following the tactics of Colombian coach Reinaldo Rueda. However, the flashes of good play of both South American teams weakened. Rueda ordered the entrance of Michael Arroyo for Antonio Valencia to win a little more on the attack but the Guarani knew how to counteract theoffensive idea of the Colombian coach.
This result adds to a goalless draw in the early hours recorded between Brazil and Venezuela, leaving the four teams with a point in the standings in Group B. (MS)
