Correa about to take $ 40,000 from Miguel Palacios

The defense of Miguel Palacios, president of the Civic Council of Guayaquil, awaits a new response of the Constitutional Court (CC) to exhaust the ultimate stage of proceedings in the country or to file an international lawsuit.

He has also expectations that at “any time,” said his lawyer Xavier Buendia, the payment of $ 40,000 to President Rafael Correa is ordered, by the judgment that has been enforceable for four months.

Buendia reported that on December 11, 2015 a request for revocation of the decision the Board of Admission of the CC took the 8th of that month was raised, this request dismissed the proceeding for the extraordinary action of protection that had been submitted and ordered its file.

In September, Palacios presented the action against judicial decisions that are part of the trial for moral damage against Correa.

He asked the CC to “provide for the integral reparation” of his constitutional rights, which according to him, were violated by the “unconstitutional sentence” of Wilson Andino, judge of the National Court.
