To prevent history repeating itself, the government ordered to declassify all documents related to the police revolt of September 30 and request the UnitedNations UNASUR and to appoint committees to assist in the investigation to determine whether there was intent assassination.
Correa mentioned that a video of 62 minutes was recorded by the Special Operations Group (GEO) in which there are snipers shooting at soldiers. As well as members of the police with high-powered rifles.
A short 8-minute version of the video summarized by the military is also available, the president said that the recording would be uploaded to the website of the Presidency of the Republic. Access to graphic material has also been released.
Yesterday, four pictures in which the police are marked with a red circle were shown. This documentation will go to the General Attorney. “These are public documents and the prosecution should use it properly,” said Defense Minister Javier Ponce.
