According to the Mexican polling company ARCOP, the most possible scenary of these February 17 elections in Ecuador, is that a runoff may happen.
ARCOP grants Rafael Correa only 39% vote intend for this elections. By obtaining this result, the final choice would be made on Sunday, April 7.
In that case the opposition should unite around a single candidate who, according to ARCOP, would be Guillermo Lasso, with 26% of voter preference in the same survey.
The survey was conducted by ARCOP from January 17 to January 21 this year and collected the opinion of 1,500 voting-age citizens in urban and rural areas. The margin of error is plus/minus 3.1%.
