On October 31, 15 defendants (two authors and 13 co-authors) were sentenced, including the former commander of the Police Fausto T. and Lieutenant Alexis C., to 13 years and three months in prison, for organized crime in the police transfers case. The alleged sale of 1,317 irregular transfers in the institution, between October 2014 and 2015, for costs between $ 900 and $ 1,500 was investigated.
Nine officers were sentenced to 9 years and three months in prison, and three more to ten months, because they collaborated While a civilian, Maria Teresa B., mother of Alexis C., was sentenced to five years in prison.
