Cuenca City March to Support President Correa

In the downtown of the city of Cuenca, hundreds of citizens marched to show their support to President Correa after the events perpetrated by the police.

The park Calderon was the meeting point for the members of the “Federación de barrios de la ciudad” who began walking at 2 p.m. Leaders of the Provincial Council witnessed the event. Also present where the Universidad de Cuenca and the Asociación de municipios de la provincia austral.

The march occupied five blocks; Paul Carrasco prefect of the province of Azuay and its assistants expressed their support to the President as well as democracy.
