Dalo Bucaram Revealed that the Embassy of Iran Owes to Cofiec
The assemblyman Abdala Bucaram Pulley (member of PRE) pointed out “Why Cofiec has to borrow almost two million dollars to the Embassy of Iran?, additionally he revealed in a report of the Superintendency of Banks to its director Pedro Solines, who are the biggest debtors of the seized bank Cofiec.
The report has a date from December of 2011, according to Bucaram, there is an $800,000 credit to the Argentinian Gaston Duzac (who still hasn’t paid back), and this is not the only irregularity of the entity under the administration of Management Unit Public Law (Ugedep for its Spanish acronym) of the trust fund AGD-CFN.
Bucaram assured that there exist “credits linked” between Cofiec and Ugedep, represented by Pedro Delgado, cousin of the Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa. There are also loans given to other companies managed by the State to natural persons directly related to the unit that manages it. AV
