David Beckham was not Selected for London 2012 Olympics

David Beckham – “I’m obviously very disappointed, but there will be no greater fan of the team than me”

David Beckham, English soccer player, revealed today that he failed to enter the Stuart Pearce’s England Football Team that was headed to the London 2012 Olympics.

Pearce traveled last week to the US to assess Beckham’s fitness before making a decision.

“Everyone knows that playing in the (soccer) team means a lot to me. It would have been an honor to have been part of this unique team,” said Beckham.

“I’m obviously very disappointed, but there will be no greater fan of the team than me. And as everyone expects, I wish they can win the gold” he added. (MZ)
