Deputy Minister of Education warns that school fees shall not exceed $ 354

Jaime Roca, Deputy Minister of Education, stressed last week that the corresponding school fees for school supplies, books and uniforms can not exceed $ 354, which is the basic wage for workers, as this legislation is stipulated in Section 17 of the Ministerial Agreement 387-13.

Students from the Coast start classes on May 4th, therefore, it is expected that the State provides textbooks and uniforms to students from public schools, something that has meant a total investment of $ 44’315.874. Thus, the Municipality of Guayaquil will also deliver books to 110,000 students from private schools.
