DigiTalks is born
Ecuadornews:
Weeks ago I received the invitation to be part of a group on WhatsApp whose topic of discussion would be digital marketing. I accepted and immediately they entered me into a space that permanently shares and promotes solutions related to the digital world. To my pleasant surprise and distinguishing himself from many other chats, he remains focused on his goal and does not share anything that deviates from him. A characteristic that shows its formality.
The idea of this, which at the moment is something more than a chat, was Harry Ruiz after a first face-to-face activity carried out in the UEES and dictated by Carlos Jurado. They were 8 transformative hours that sowed in the public the idea of what it really is to do business online.
Javier Castillo Jurado, Claudia Argañaraz, Vito Muñoz, Virginia Andrade, Arturo Salcedo, Ivanna Sauziz, the Spaniards Álex Fonseca and Jesús Hernández were invited to this chat and at the moment we are already more than 150 people, among them people not necessarily known but with a lot of talent and knowledge, whose contribution is vital for the qualitative growth of the group.
One day, after a virtual dialogue between the participants, this group was baptized with the name of DigiTalks. It was given an image, tasks were distributed and what seems to be difficult to achieve in our environment, was achieved: the participation of all. “We are not looking for mass, but people who contribute.
We want to remain decentralized and without protagonists. We want DigiTalks to be the local version of TedTalks, “explains Carlos Jurado. The purpose of this group is to promote business online. In Ecuador the online business was distorted, it was confused with corporate image or branding. When it failed, the entrepreneur thought that failure was generated by the Internet and not by the people who handled the issue.
Then, the industry was reduced by the poor performance of those who initially handled customer accounts. This group is trying to reverse that scenario. How? Promoting knowledge through talks, events and conferences – known as TED – and creating a platform that integrates all services and offer them to the market.
This group has considered being a reference and doing something very good and powerful, serious, with ethical and moral weight. Subsequently, it aims to create a limited company or a cooperative and start offering its services to private and public companies.
By improving the digital industry many current problems are solved. Pollution and the consumption of fossil fuel through unnecessary displacements would be reduced by simplifying the lives of users. The level of efficiency that we can achieve by promoting the development of digital businesses would also mean better use of time, since one hour on the internet is 4 hours offline and what you have left free to live, something that many have already forgotten.
What will happen if this goes well? I’m sure only good things. Welcome to the world, DigiTalks!. (O)
