Director Isidro Ayora Hospital of Loja Resigned After the 26 Deaths

After nearly two years in the director of hospital Isidro Ayora (Loja) position, Daniel Astudillo decided to resign last night due to the 26 dead infants by medical negligence scandal.
Astudillo said he leaves his office in an effort to facilitate the prosecution of investigations of the deaths of the 26 newborns. Enterobacter bacteria, detected in hospital soaps could have been the death of the infants cause, the prosecution is investigating the case.
