Ecuadorian Minister of Hydrocarbons Carlos Perez said that if the Brazilian firm Odebrecht does not solve problems detected in the Pascuales Cuenca pipeline within a month, the state could terminate the contract
Perez gave a month to the Brazilian company to repair damages in the poly duct and to deliver the work definitively.
“In my opinion, if the company is not willing to solve the problems, we have no alternative but to terminate that contract. The country will not give them more money,” said the official referring to a work that required an investment of 600 million dollars. (I)
