Ecuador receives loan from the Inter-American Development Bank

A credit of $ 80 million to further the program to strengthen the National System of Electrical Distribution of Ecuador was approved by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
With this, the National Electricity Distribution System in the country will be strengthened to operate at 220 watts, while it aims to improve the quality of the electricity service to residential customers, the IDB said.
The loan has an amortization period of 25 years and includes $ 30 million of the Cofinancing Chinese Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean.
