Ecuador strengthens parliamentary relations
The President of the National Assembly, Fernando Cordero, will try to strengthen relations with allied countries for the remainder of the 128th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which takes place in Quito since last Friday and will run until next Wednesday.

Over the past weekend, Cordero, also elected President of the IPU, met with the parliamentary delegations of Egypt, Iran and China.
Tarek Alshri, vice president of the Egyptian Parliament, stressed the diplomatic relations that the two countries had maintained for 60 years.
Chen Changzhi, vice chairman of the National People’s Congress of China, stressed as a goal “to stimulate investments with presence of loans and technology.”
Moayed Hasseinisad, head of the Iranian delegation, agreed to deepen relations between parliaments and “implementing agreements” that were signed with the Ecuadorian government in other areas.
