Ecuador submitted a report on climate change

Ecuador emits 60 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). The cargo sector generates 46.63% of the gases. The rest is generated by the industry, agriculture and waste treatment. The country is only responsible for the emission of 0.15% of CO2 in the world. In contrast, China emits the 23%; The United States, 11%; The European Union, 8.8%; And Latin America and the Caribbean, 10.7%. These were some of the figures announced by María Victoria Chiri, Under Secretary for Climate Change of the Ministry of the Environment.
The III National Communication on Climate Change is a scientific document that gathers information on the policies and achievements made by the country. The technique acknowledged that Ecuador reduced the emission of gases in recent years and implemented plans to regenerate the environment. (I)
