Ecuador takes the crown of Miss International 2011

Ecuadorian model, Maria Fernanda Cornejo was crowned as Miss International 2011, third largest beauty contests in the world, held in Chengdu, China.

This is the first time that an Ecuadorian representative wins this crown beating Miss Venezuela, Miss Mongolia, Miss Panama. In addition to winning the contest, Maria Fernanda won the band of Stature, awarded to the participant with the best figure of the event.

Cornejo wore a costume made by Ecuadorian designer, Tatiana Torres, elaborated with raw silk in red and black with siren cut halter neck, and embroidered with black and gray stones, while the dress for the costume parade was an inter-representation of women created by Gustavo Otero.
