Ecuador Takes up Relationship with Iran

Vice President of Internal Affairs, Ali Saeidlo, and Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa
As part of his Latin America tour, Vice President of International Affairs of Iran, Ali Saeidlo visited President Rafael Correa at the Government House.
Saeidlo’s visit had a particular goal: to extend a personal inviation to the president to attend the Non-Aligned Countries Summit to be held in late August at Tehran. According Saeidlo, Correa has already accepted the invitation.
Ecuador is one of five stops of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas that Saeidlo chose to extend personal invitations. His tour also includes Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia. (MZ)
