Ecuador was defeated by Chile 2-1; a door shut to qualify for Russia 2018

Two defensive errors left the Ecuadorian team out of the 2018 World Cup. The Tricolor team fell was beat by Chile 2-1 and only ratified its crisis in this round. The match was played at the Monumental stadium.

Chile adds 26 points, continues in the fight for a direct ticket to the World Cup and will define its classification in Sao Paulo before the almighty Brazil, owner of the first-class ticket to Russia.

For its part, Ecuador added 20 points and achieved the eighth place but on the last date it will be the protagonist, as it will play against Messi´s Argentina, that is sixth with 25 points. (I)
