Ecuador will allow Spanish titles but they will not be recognized as of fourth level

Enrique Santos
The titles given by Spanish universities will be recognized in Ecuador, but will not be considered of fourth level. The Council of Higher Education took this decision, as Enrique Santos, a member of the organization, explained.
The resolution specifies that the retroactivity rule will not apply for those titles that were registered in February of this year. After this period, Ecuador will not record any other titles; this refers to the degrees awarded by universities autonomously without the support of the Spanish government.
It has been appointed to give a period of two years for professionals who are pursuing their studies with this title so they can register it with the National Secretary of Higher Education (Senescyt). The resolution will be published on the website of the Education Council.
