Ecuadorian government gave $ 6 million for preparation of national athletes

Yesterday, Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa together with the Ministry of Sport gave $6 million for the physical training to the 86 athletes who will represent Ecuador at the Olympic Games next July 27.
As part of the High Performance 2012 Plan, the Ecuadorian representatives will receive $6’268 808.94, divided by $ 75,000 for each, in addition to enabling high-performance three centers until next March.
Olympic weightlifter, Seledina Nieves, received a symbolic check and announced that “the Olympics are going to leave our effort and sacrifice.”
